Ingredients

  • 2 lb. veal
  • 2 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cook veal until tender.
  2. While the meat cools, make the barbecue sauce.
  3. In a skillet, brown chopped onion and celery in salad oil.
  4. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  5. Add 1/2 cup catsup, 1/3 cup water, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and mustard.
  6. Simmer the sauce for 15 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked veal to the sauce and serve.
