Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped fine
  • 1/3 cup green pepper, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated horseradish
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • dash of red pepper
  • dash of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Drain cooked tomatoes and save the liquid.
  2. Chop tomatoes finely and mix with chopped celery, minced green pepper, and grated onion.
  3. Add tomato juice, grated horseradish, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Chill the mixture for several hours.
  5. Serve cold in sherbet glasses.
  6. Eat with a spoon.
