Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Wesson oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup cooked prunes
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, Wesson oil, eggs, chopped prunes, chopped pecans, and buttermilk together.
  2. Sift together the flour, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, baking soda, and salt, then add to the wet mixture and combine well.
  3. Pour the batter into an angel food tube pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
