Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsifted flour
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup cold butter or oleo
  • 1 (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • Chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour and confectioners sugar; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Press firmly into the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned around edges.
  5. Meanwhile, in a heavy saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, cream, and vanilla.
  6. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring until mixture thickens, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  8. Spread the caramel and walnut mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  9. Bake for an additional 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool, then garnish with chocolate drizzle.
  11. Chill the dessert.
  12. Cut into triangles and serve.
