Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blend butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and flour until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into shallow pans (two 8x8-inch pans or one 9x13-inch pan).
  4. Bake for 15 minutes.
  5. While the crust is baking, beat the eggs in a bowl.
  6. Add the remaining 1 cup brown sugar and mix well.
  7. Add salt and Rice Krispies to the mixture and stir to combine.
  8. Spread the topping mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  9. Bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the top is browned.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares while still warm.
