Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak, cut in pieces
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. cornflakes, crushed
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 c. water

Instructions

  1. Trim fat off steak, pound meat, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip meat into beaten egg, then coat with crushed cornflakes mixed with chili powder.
  3. Brown meat on both sides in Wesson oil over medium heat.
  4. Add sliced onion, sliced green pepper, and water to the skillet.
  5. Cover and simmer for 45 to 60 minutes.
