Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. Wheaties
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine until smooth.
  2. Gradually add granulated sugar and brown sugar, and cream well.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together until combined.
  4. Sift together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  5. Add shredded coconut and dry ingredients to the mixture and fold in.
  6. Stir in Wheaties and chopped nuts (if using).
  7. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for about 10 minutes at 350°F or until lightly browned.
