Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sugar
  • 1 lb. flour
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 lb. figs
  • 1/2 lb. crystallized pineapple
  • whites of 8 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 lb. white raisins
  • 1 lb. almonds
  • 1/2 citron (optional)
  • 1 large coconut, grated

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  3. Bake at 325°F (163°C) until the cake is well done and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
