White Pine Bark Candy

Instructions
- Cover a 9 x 15-inch cookie sheet with foil.
- Place a single layer of saltine crackers to cover the cookie sheet.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Add brown sugar and boil for 3 minutes.
- While hot, pour the caramel mixture over the crackers.
- Bake at 400°F for seven minutes. Watch closely and do not burn.
- Remove from oven and immediately spread chocolate chips over the top.
- Top with nuts if desired.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Remove from foil and break into pieces.
- Store in the refrigerator.
