Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Place the rice in salad oil to which you have added the garlic clove and the onion halves.
  2. Slowly brown over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. When rice is wheat colored, pour off most of the oil, leaving about 1 tablespoon, and remove the garlic.
