Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 medium bananas, mashed (1 c.)
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 c. hot water
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Beat butter; blend in sugar.
  2. Mix in beaten eggs and mashed bananas.
  3. Add sifted flour, salt, soda, and wheat flour, alternated with hot water.
  4. Stir in chopped nuts.
  5. Bake in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
