Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1/2 head cabbage
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2-3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon in a skillet until crispy; remove and set aside.
  2. Add chopped cabbage to the bacon drippings in the skillet and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, chopped celery, and chopped green pepper to the skillet.
  4. Stir everything together and add two to three tablespoons of vinegar.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
