Crispy won tons filled with seasoned beef and water chestnuts offer a savory snack or appetizer, perfect for parties or casual gatherings with a flavorful dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 can (7 oz.) water chestnuts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Won Ton Skins
  • 4 c. oil

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and water chestnuts finely.
  2. Mix ground beef, chopped onion, water chestnuts, beaten egg, salt, and pepper together.
  3. Place 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of a won ton skin.
  4. Moisten the edges of the skin with water and seal to form a triangle.
  5. Deep fry the won tons in 4 cups of hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Serve with won ton sauce.
