Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon white vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon to create the cinnamon-sugar topping.
  3. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan or bundt pan.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix and instant vanilla pudding.
  5. Add eggs, oil, water, vanilla, and butter flavoring to the dry ingredients.
  6. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture and pecans over the batter.
  9. Pour the remaining batter over the topping layer.
  10. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture and pecans on top.
  11. Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  12. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  13. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze.
  14. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake before serving.
