Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 c. flour (white or unbleached)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. In the evening, dissolve the yeast in warm water.
  2. Stir in the milk and sugar.
  3. Let the liquid mixture stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
  4. Beat in the eggs, melted butter, sugar, flour, and salt.
  5. Let this mixture stand overnight at room temperature, lightly covered.
