Ingredients

  • 1 medium package Fritos corn chips
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • salt
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 cans water
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic sauce

Instructions

  1. Arrange the Fritos corn chips around the edge of a platter.
  2. Prepare a salad with chopped lettuce, chopped onion, and grated Cheddar cheese.
  3. Heap the salad in the center of the platter.
  4. Prepare the sauce by cooking ground beef with salt, then adding flour, tomato sauce, water, oregano, chili powder, and garlic sauce.
  5. Simmer the sauce until thickened and flavors meld.
  6. Pour the sauce over the salad and serve.
