Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup Bisquick baking mix

Instructions

  1. Grease a 10-inch pie plate with 1 1/2-inch depth.
  2. Cook ground beef until browned.
  3. Add salt and pepper to the beef.
  4. Spread cooked beef mixture evenly in the prepared pie plate.
  5. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the beef.
  6. In a bowl, beat together milk and Bisquick baking mix until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter over the cheese layer in the pie plate.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 25 minutes.
  9. Top with sliced tomatoes and additional cheese if desired.
  10. Bake an additional 5 to 8 minutes until a knife inserted comes out clean.
  11. Let the pie cool for 5 minutes before serving.
