Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped bell pepper
  • 6 franks, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 6 strips bacon
  • 2 (16 oz.) pork and beans
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. mustard
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained

Instructions

  1. Brown ground chuck, onions, and bell pepper together and drain.
  2. Brown frankfurters lightly.
  3. Fry bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside.
  4. Mix remaining ingredients together in a bowl.
  5. Add cooked ground beef, onions, peppers, and franks to the mixture.
  6. Pour into a casserole dish. Top with bacon crumbs.
  7. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30 to 40 minutes.
