A hearty 6-in-1 casserole layered with beef, vegetables, rice, and tomato soup, slow-baked to create a comforting, flavorful family meal perfect for cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 cup sliced raw onions
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 2 cups raw potatoes
  • butter
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and butter a casserole dish.
  2. Place half of the ground beef in the bottom of the casserole dish.
  3. Layer 1/2 cup of celery, then 1/2 cup of sliced raw onions, followed by 1/2 cup of sliced carrots.
  4. Add 1 cup of raw potatoes and sprinkle 3 tablespoons of raw rice over the layers.
  5. Add some butter, salt, and pepper on top of this layer.
  6. Repeat the layering with the remaining ingredients: ground beef, vegetables, potatoes, and rice.
  7. Pour the can of tomato soup evenly over the layered casserole.
  8. Bake in a slow oven at 300°F (150°C) for approximately 3 hours until cooked through and bubbly.
