Ingredients

  • 1 lb. top round, cut into 1/2-inch wide strips
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1/2 cup Sauterne
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • dash of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Saute beef and onions in oil until browned and onions are softened.
  2. Add mushrooms, beef consomme, Sauterne, garlic, and a dash of nutmeg; bring to a simmer.
  3. Simmer the mixture for 1 hour to develop flavors.
  4. Add cooked noodles and sour cream, stirring to combine.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
