Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cups noodles
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 can peas
  • 1 can mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef and chopped onion together until browned.
  2. Pour off excess grease from the beef and onion mixture.
  3. Cook the noodles in salted water for 20 minutes, then drain.
  4. Heat mushrooms on the stovetop until warmed.
  5. Combine cooked beef, onion, noodles, tomato soup, water, peas (or preferred beans), and mushrooms if using in a baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour.
  7. Before serving, top with buttered corn flakes for crunch.
