- Cook ground beef with garlic powder and black pepper until done, then drain and set aside.
- Combine biscuit mix and cornmeal in a bowl.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add enough boiling water to form a soft dough.
- Press the dough into the bottoms and sides of miniature muffin pans to form shells.
- Place a teaspoon of cooked beef mixture into each pastry shell.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg and mix with half and half, green onion, red pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture over the beef in each muffin cup.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 minutes or until filling is set and golden.
