Ingredients

  • 1 cup seedless blackberry jam or strawberry jam
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup seedless raisins
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon powdered cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 whole eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325° to 350°F.
  2. Blend all ingredients together, mixing well until combined.
  3. Pour the batter into three buttered and floured round pans.
  4. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
