Ingredients

  • 12 oysters on the half-shell, loosened
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large shallot, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup blanched almonds, sliced

Instructions

  1. Arrange the oysters in a baking pan.
  2. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, minced shallot, chopped parsley, prepared mustard, white pepper, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Place a heaping teaspoonful of the butter mixture on each oyster.
  4. Sprinkle with about 5 slices of sliced blanched almonds on each oyster.
  5. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes or until almonds begin to brown.
