Ingredients

  • 2 lb. stew meat (1-inch cubes)
  • 4 c. hot water
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 6 sliced carrots
  • 3 peeled potatoes
  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 c. diced celery

Instructions

  1. Brown the stew meat thoroughly.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients to a 5-quart crock-pot.
  3. Cook on high for 6 to 7 hours.
