Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups apples, chopped
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups Wesson oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, chopped apples, chopped nuts, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Mix well to form a batter.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  4. Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. While the cake is baking, combine the margarine, brown sugar, and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  6. Pour the hot glaze over the warm cake evenly.
