Delicious apple-filled phyllo triangles offer a crispy, flaky exterior with sweet, spiced apple filling—perfect for dessert or a sweet snack, appealing to all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium baking apple, peeled and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 3 sheets phyllo dough
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the chopped apple, raisins, sugar, flour, lemon juice, and cinnamon for the filling.
  2. Set the filling mixture aside.
  3. Lightly brush one sheet of phyllo dough with melted margarine.
  4. Place a second sheet of phyllo dough on top and brush with margarine.
  5. Top with the third sheet of phyllo dough without brushing with margarine.
  6. Cut the stacked phyllo sheets lengthwise into four strips.
