Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon instant chicken bouillon or 3 cubes
  • 3/4 to 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 (14 oz.) package herb seasoned stuffing mix
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook celery and onion in butter until tender.
  2. Add water and bouillon; cook until dissolved.
  3. In a large bowl, combine stuffing mix, chopped apples, and chopped walnuts.
  4. Add the cooked celery and onion mixture to the bowl.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Loosely stuff the turkey just before roasting.
  7. Place the remaining stuffing in a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until hot.
