Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups applesauce
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup golden seedless raisins
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream the sugar and butter together until smooth.
  2. Sift together the dry ingredients: salt, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa, and flour.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, and applesauce to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients, stirring gently until combined.
  5. Fold in the raisins and chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased Bundt pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
