Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an oblong pan (13 x 9 x 2 inches).
  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly; spread in the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Frost with Buttercream Frosting.
  6. Cut into bars about 3 x 1 inches.
