Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 large garlic
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 large carrots
  • 6 ribs celery
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 3 large bay leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped basil
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley

Instructions

  1. Put the onion, carrots, celery, and green pepper into a blender and liquify.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot.
  3. Brown the garlic in the oil, then discard the garlic pieces.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, 16 ounces of water, and the contents of the blender.
  5. Add the spices and simmer the sauce for 3 hours.
  6. Serve the sauce over cooked spaghetti.
