Ingredients

  • 1 lb dry beans (9 kinds)
  • 2 ham hocks
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large carrot, chopped
  • 1 stick celery, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 medium potato, diced

Instructions

  1. Put all but the potato and the ham hocks in a pot of cold water and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
  2. Add the diced potato and cook until the potato is tender.
