Ingredients

  • 4 lb. whole snapper or snapper steaks
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 4 onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 1 small bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 4 fresh tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients except fish in a large skillet and cook until tender.
  2. Place fish in a baking pan and add a little extra olive oil over the fish, then pour the prepared ingredients over top of the fish.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes.
