Ingredients

  • 4 venison chops
  • baking soda
  • dash of salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 4 onion rounds
  • 4 green pepper rings

Instructions

  1. Soak the venison chops in baking soda water for 2 hours.
  2. Drain the meat and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roll the chops in flour and brown them in shortening.
  4. Place the chops in a baking dish and put one slice of onion and one green pepper ring on each chop.
  5. Add water to the dish and cover.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
