Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oleo (butter)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 ripened bananas
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar, oleo (butter), eggs, milk, vanilla, and bananas together.
  2. Stir in baking soda, salt, and flour until well combined.
  3. Pour batter into a lightly greased and floured loaf pan.
  4. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool before slicing. This banana bread freezes well and remains moist.
