- In a covered 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage and 1/4 cup cold water for 5 minutes.
- Remove cover; reduce heat to low.
- Cook sausages until browned, turning often.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Cut sausages into slices 1/4-inch thick.
- Cook celery and onion until tender, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine croutons with 1 cup hot water.
- Add cooked sausage slices, drained kidney beans, chopped celery and onion, butter, chili powder, and mix well.
- Stuff into a 6 to 8 pound turkey.
