Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. diced bacon
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 2 cans pork and beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can lima beans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, diced onion, and bacon in a large skillet.
  2. Simmer the cooked mixture briefly to combine flavors.
  3. Add ketchup, white vinegar, liquid smoke, pork and beans, kidney beans, lima beans, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
  4. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
