- 0.5 to 1 lb ground beef or stew beef ⓘ
- 1 1/2 cups macaroni ⓘ
- 3 to 5 potatoes or 2 cans whole potatoes ⓘ
- 1 can corn ⓘ
- 1 can green beans ⓘ
- 1 can carrots ⓘ
- 1 can peas
- 2 quarts water ⓘ
- juice from vegetable cans ⓘ
- 1 to 3 beef cubes ⓘ
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons onion flakes or dried onion ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon ginger ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tablespoons seasoned salt ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon ground cloves ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon black pepper ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef or stew beef in a skillet; drain excess fat.
- Pour the cooked meat into a large pot.
- Add water, juice from the vegetable cans, and all canned vegetables to the pot.
- Stir in beef cubes, Worcestershire sauce, onion flakes, ginger, seasoned salt, cinnamon, ground cloves, and black pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Mix cornstarch with a small amount of water to create a slurry, then stir into the soup to thicken.
- Serve hot.
