Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Crisco
  • 1 large can pork and beans
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 packages wieners, cut up
  • 1 package butter beans, cooked and drained

Instructions

  1. Melt the Crisco in a large pan.
  2. Add chopped onion and bell pepper; cook until soft.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, dry mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved.
  5. Pour the mixture over hot dogs, butter beans, kidney beans, and pork and beans.
  6. Stir until well coated.
  7. Pour into a large dish, cover, and bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350°F.
