Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 3/4 cup brown sugar ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon Crisco ⓘ
- 1 large can pork and beans ⓘ
- 1 can kidney beans, drained ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper ⓘ
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon black pepper ⓘ
- 2 packages wieners, cut up
- 1 package butter beans, cooked and drained ⓘ
Instructions
- Melt the Crisco in a large pan.
- Add chopped onion and bell pepper; cook until soft.
- Stir in brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, dry mustard, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the mixture over hot dogs, butter beans, kidney beans, and pork and beans.
- Stir until well coated.
- Pour into a large dish, cover, and bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350°F.
