Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 package Hamburger Helper mix for hamburger potatoes au gratin
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup frozen broccoli, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook and stir ground beef and chopped onion in a Dutch oven until the beef is browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in water, potatoes au gratin mix, sliced carrots, dry mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in chopped broccoli, cover, and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
