Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2/3 c. Bisquick
  • 2 eggs
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease a 10-inch by 1 1/2-inch pie plate.
  3. Cook and stir ground beef until browned.
  4. Drain the grease from the beef.
  5. Stir in oregano, dried basil, tomato paste, and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Layer the beef mixture, cottage cheese, and Parmesan cheese in the pie plate.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, add milk, then add Bisquick, salt, and pepper. Beat until well blended.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the layers in the pie plate.
  9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is browned.
  10. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese over the top and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
