Ingredients

  • 3 lb. boneless beef
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 slices onion
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • pinch of garlic

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef at 475°F for 20 minutes.
  2. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F and cook for 3 to 4 hours until the meat is tender.
  3. Optional: Thicken the sauce slightly if desired.
  4. Shred the cooked meat and serve over buns.
