Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 3-1/2 lb. Stew Beef
  • 1 large Onion
  • 4 qt. Water
  • 4 Tbsp. Instant Beef Bouillon
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 lb. Baby Carrots
  • 1-1/2 c. Barley
  • 2 Potatoes

Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven, cook the stew beef in olive oil until no red shows.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 15 minutes.
  3. Add water, instant beef bouillon, and garlic powder; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer on medium-low until the beef is tender.
  5. Add baby carrots, potatoes, and barley; continue simmering until vegetables and barley are cooked and tender.
