Beef Broccoli Wellington offers a savory combination of seasoned ground beef, tender broccoli, and melted mozzarella encased in flaky crescent roll crust, perfect for a hearty dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 9 oz. broccoli, thawed and drained
  • 4 oz. mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium skillet, brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  3. Add the broccoli, mozzarella cheese, chopped onion, sour cream, salt, and pepper to the skillet; mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Separate the crescent dough into 4 long rectangles.
  5. On an ungreased cookie sheet, overlap the long sides of two rectangles by 1/2 inch and press edges to seal, forming a 13 x 7-inch rectangle.
  6. Spoon the meat mixture in a 3-inch wide strip lengthwise down the center of the dough.
  7. Bring the long edges of the dough over the meat mixture and seal by pinching the dough together.
  8. Brush the assembled Wellington with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven at 375°F for 18 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
