Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb beef stew meat, cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • 1 half fresh tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 red potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 sprigs fresh parsley
  • 1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can green beans, drained

Instructions

  1. Put the oil over medium heat. Cover the beef with the flour.
  2. Put the garlic, bay leaves in the pot, also add pepper.
  3. Continue cooking till the beef becomes brown.
  4. Add salt and cook for ten minutes till beef becomes soft.
  5. Cook another five minutes with onion, carrot, pepper (green).
  6. Wait till the onions become tender.
  7. Take the tomato then add red wine, parsley, and a little water. Cover the pan and transfer on the medium-low heat and cook for half an hour.
  8. Mix sweet potatoes and green beans with red potatoes.
  9. Continue cooking for one hour. Enjoy your meal!
