Beef Stew Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil ⓘ
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cut into cubes ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 8 garlic cloves, minced ⓘ
- 2 bay leaves ⓘ
- 1 pinch ground black pepper ⓘ
- 1 pinch salt ⓘ
- 1 onion, chopped ⓘ
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped ⓘ
- 1 carrot, chopped ⓘ
- 1 pinch paprika ⓘ
- 1 half fresh tomato, chopped ⓘ
- 1 cup white wine ⓘ
- 1 cup water ⓘ
- 3 red potatoes, peeled and cubed ⓘ
- 2 sprigs fresh parsley
- 1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed ⓘ
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can green beans, drained ⓘ
Instructions
- Put the oil over medium heat. Cover the beef with the flour.
- Put the garlic, bay leaves in the pot, also add pepper.
- Continue cooking till the beef becomes brown.
- Add salt and cook for ten minutes till beef becomes soft.
- Cook another five minutes with onion, carrot, pepper (green).
- Wait till the onions become tender.
- Take the tomato then add red wine, parsley, and a little water. Cover the pan and transfer on the medium-low heat and cook for half an hour.
- Mix sweet potatoes and green beans with red potatoes.
- Continue cooking for one hour. Enjoy your meal!
