Ingredients

  • 5 medium bell peppers
  • 2 lb ground chuck beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 cup crackers
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cans tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Mix together chopped onion, crackers, egg, water, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon sugar to make the stuffing mixture.
  2. Cut the tops off bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. Stuff the bell peppers with the meat mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix garlic powder, tomato soup, water, 3 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon sugar to make the sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the stuffed peppers.
  6. Place the bell peppers and sauce into a baking pan.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 1 hour.
