Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups plain uncooked oatmeal
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugars in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the flour, rolled oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix until evenly incorporated.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
