Ingredients

  • 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 2 c. coarsely chopped semi-sweet chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugars, vanilla, and salt; beat with a spoon until fluffy.
  2. Beat in egg and baking soda.
  3. Stir in flour, walnuts, and chocolate chunks.
  4. Transfer the dough to a bowl just large enough to hold it; cover and refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours or overnight.
