Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon, sliced
  • 2 c. celery, chopped
  • 2 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 2 c. onions, chopped
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
  • 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans black-eyed peas
  • dash of seasoned salt
  • 2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Saute bacon with chopped celery, green pepper, and onions.
  2. Add chicken broth, stewed tomatoes, and black-eyed peas; simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
  3. Adjust seasoning with seasoned salt and additional salt as needed.
  4. Serve hot and enjoy.
