Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup real butter
  • 2/3 cup chopped raisins
  • 3/4 cup seedless blackberry jam
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 1/4 cups flour, white sugar, and butter; blend until fine crumbs form.
  2. Press the mixture into an 8-inch square pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, mix chopped raisins, blackberry jam, and 1 tablespoon flour.
  5. Pour the raisin and jam mixture over the baked crust.
  6. Bake for an additional 20 minutes or until set.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
